The Broadcom Mainframe Integration Portal delivers a new self-service experience for engineering leads, system programmers and developers seeking to discover, learn about and experiment with Broadcom Mainframe Software APIs.
A mainframe modernization project requires an easy way to enable open and secure access of mainframe data and functionality. Infrastructure APIs are the place to start, but not understanding the breadth and depth of available APIs can inhibit innovation, resulting in duplication of efforts and lost opportunity.
The Integration Portal enables anyone to have an immediate view of available mainframe APIs developed by Broadcom. A search function makes it easy for API consumers to find the services they need. Each API service page includes a link to recommended use cases, giving instant insight on how it can be leveraged for automation.
Rich content for every API includes a brief description, followed by reference documentation built on the OpenAPI specification, the World Standard for RESTful APIs. OpenAPI documentation offers a complete list of endpoints for the REST API, including details on the responses and parameters, painting a total picture of the capabilities of the API. API consumers can test the behavior of specific endpoints and copy code for use as part of their application.
As a result, any potential API consumer accessing the Integration Portal will gain a thorough understanding of the REST service, including suggestions on how it can be used, enabling them to make a decision on whether or not it meets their needs.
